GitOps 1.0 Is Here! Vault, Code Report and State IaC in One Platform
We’re excited to announce GitOps 1.0, the first stable release of GitOps. It brings the essential building blocks for an internal developer platform into one open-source project: secret management, security reporting, and infrastructure state visibility.
One platform for DevSecOps
Modern platform teams often operate a collection of disconnected tools. GitOps gives developers and operators one place to manage the state around their services while keeping changes reviewable and auditable.
Vault
Store project secrets with scoped access, environment separation, and a Git-native audit trail.
Keep credentials organized by project and environment without copying them into application code.
Use organization and project roles to give each team the access it needs.
Every update can be traced through the GitDB history behind the platform.
Code Report
Code Report connects security scanning to the project that owns the service. The CLI can request the tools enabled for a project, run them locally, and upload progress and results for review.
State IaC
State IaC is the infrastructure-state view for teams working with Pulumi and cloud storage backends. It keeps stack history, state inspection, and deployment context close to the rest of the platform.
Built on Git
GitOps uses GitDB as its source of truth. Configuration and platform data benefit from native commits, diffs, authorship, and rollback instead of requiring a separate audit system. GitOps 1.0 is a foundation for teams that want developer workflows and operational history in the same place.
